We have greatly appreciated your prayers especially the past few weeks as Jordan graduated from Faith Academy and many of you prayed for our trip to the US June 8th.

We are thankful for great visits with prayer partners and friends.  We even had an opportunity to visit the Billy Graham Museum in Wheaton, IL.  God provided us with a car that we can use for the summer for which we are very thankful.   Jordan had an opportunity to visit Cornerstone.  He is looking forward to attending in the Fall.  Larry gave a ministry report at Lakeshore Baptist and we also had an Open House for Jordan's Graduation and it was great to fellowship with friends from our home area.

As you continue to pray for our travels this summer, the next few weeks we will be in the Upper Peninsula.  Jana and Jordan will be working for the summer at Gitche Gumee Bible Camp and the few weeks that we are here we will be sharing our ministry at churches, Larry will be taking a Church Planting Course in Minneapolis, while Donna will be volunteering at the camp.  It has been great having Jana with us and hanging out as a family.

SALISBURYS SNAPSHOTS, DECEMBER 2010

Dear Praying Friends,

It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here.  Christmas comes early in the Philippines as we hear Christmas music playing as early as September.

A recent exciting blessing is an opportunity for a new church plant.  BCCP, the main church that we planted in San Fernando, Pampanga, is launching out to start a daughter church, BCCP North.  Faithful members of BCCP that migrated to Canada still have a house in Pampanga and want to use it for this new work.  They have been visiting the Philippines this Christmas and Larry had a opportunity to lead Fer's Dad and Phyr's Mom to Christ this past weekend.

Larry had an opportunity to attend a Mobilization Conference in Virginia in late November along with a visit with Jana at Moody in Chicago.  While Larry was away, we got news that Donna's Dad had two surgeries due to bleeding on the brain and a blood clot.  Many of you have been praying for Donna's Dad, Sam Conner, and we have greatly appreciated that very much.  Four days after Larry arrived home from his travels, Donna went to visit her Dad in Pennsylvania.  Please continue to pray for him as he has experienced loss of memory as well as mobility.  Jana and I had a great visit in Grand Haven.  God was so gracious and he provided every need from getting a driver's license renewed to having a car to use in Pennsylvania as well as Michigan.

Thanks so much for standing with us through your prayers.

November 1, 2010

Dear Praying Friends,

Just last Sunday night Jordan returned from his Cross Country Tournament in Guam.  It was an amazing experience as their team placed 4th out of 22 teams throughout Southeast Asia.  A hour before his 5K race terrential rains began pouring down and so it was a very challenging race with runners running in knee deep water in some places, sliding in the mud, etc.  Joshua is looking forward to starting his middle school basketball season this coming week.

Today is All Saints Day.  It is a very important Holiday here in the Philippines.  Most Filipinos will be going to the cemetaries lighting candles to remember their dead loved ones as well as offering prayers on their behalf.  This is always an opportunity to be ready for sharing the love of Christ as people are thinking more about life and death.

Larry has been enjoying the opportunities that the Lord has entrusted to him in coaching church planters.  This past week we were able to be involved in a SEND training (MOP) for sending out Filipinos in reaching the unreached.  We are excited to have 14 new members in this training.  Pray as they build their support team.  We are planning a short term Filipino team to experience a two week mission's trip to Thailand in the new year.  Pray for Larry as he will travelling to the US for a Conference the day before Thanksgiving and on his way he will be able to visit Jana for a few days and spend Thanksgiving with her.

September, 2010

Dear Praying Friends,

One of the things I miss this time of year is the Fall leaves and their colors.  So because the leaves don't change color here in the Philippines, Fall comes so quickly every year.  It's hard to believe that October is almost here.  September has brought us joys and challenges.  For Josh, it has been a time of recovery from Dengue Fever.  Jordan has been really enjoying his cross country running.  This past Saturday he came in 3r4d place out of 93 runners.  Larry has been enjoying training church planters, coaching church leaders as well as mentoring potential missionaries for missionary service in the unreached areas of Asia.  Donna has been enjoying teaching Kindergarten Bible, 3rd Grade Math, assisting in Tagalog classes, as well as teaching students one-on-one.  Jana is enjoying her studies at Moody, along with working in Public Safety as well as tutoring international students as a Christian service.  She is praying about the possibility of a missions trip this Spring.

Your prayers are a blessing!

For His Glory,

Larry & Donna
